HiD kit for VR6 1995

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am looking at HiD kit and wondering if anybody had a recommendation.

I did have the relay kit on my old corrado before with std lights which made a big difference.

Was wondering about the link below or alternatives?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/H4-6000k-XENON-HID-Headlight-Conversion-Kit-VW-CORRADO-98-08-/150642151278?hash=item2312f8cf6e:g:GF4AAOSw4UtWTvy~

Any suggestions appreciated

Thanks

If you use your car for road use I think HID retrofit kits are now illegal as they are not OE equipment and E rated.

I think if you fit them to your car it may fail an MOT so I would check this first?

I totally agree with it. Technically you can pass the inspection with the stock lights and put the HIDs back in after it, as the installation is not really complicated.

From my understanding, you would not fail an MOT for HID kit. It used to be that people said you would fail as as there would be no washer however, you can not fail an MOT for equipment that is not fitted as part of the std equipment.

Just my understanding, I will run it by my friendly man from the vehicle inspectorate at the docks and see what he says.

Mine had them in when I bought it and I've MOTd it four times so far and it's not even been mentioned
