94D16V 0 Posted April 30, 2003 Car is usually driven sedately in city traffic by herself, does the engine like high revs and benefit from being redlined every so often?
CazzaVR 0 Posted April 30, 2003 Of course it does....
Andi 2,147,483,647 Posted April 30, 2003 Yup. You'll also find the car loves a good motorway run. Many cars get bogged down and slow when driven sedately for a long time. After a good thrash along a motorway, the car livens up, blasts away the cobwebs, and feels a lot more spritely. I just thrash mine all the time to make sure it doesn't drop from its peak ;)
94D16V 0 Posted April 30, 2003 Good to hear, she's been away for a few days, and I've just been moving it in and out of the drive. Sounds unusually rough at idle, so I thought it could do with an early morning blast to clear the lungs before she comes back.
Blimey 0 Posted May 2, 2003 I can vouch for that, my 16v run like a beauty after a good blast down the motorway or quiet "A" roads.. observing the speed limit of course

94D16V 0 Posted May 3, 2003 Means taking it to the red line on your tach, AKA giving it a damn good thrashing ;-)
