ray_vr6 1 Posted November 20, 2016 Hi Everyone I have a 20+ year old Clifford Concept 50 fitted to my 16v. It has been great up until a couple of months ago and now it is totally mental and it it is a right pain to even get past the immobiliser to get it started. I have decided to remove it totally and fit a new item. Problem is I live on the Isle of Skye and the nearest Clifford dealer is 250 miles away! I have contacted Clifford and asked them for a wiring diagram in order to get my local garage to remove it but they never responded! So - does anyone have a diagram they could supply me with? STU175 0 Posted November 20, 2016 id be inclined to take it to a car alarm specialist anyone familiar with car alarms would manage this no problems and probarly quicker/cheaper than a garage that is asking for wiring diagrams
ray_vr6 1 Posted November 21, 2016 (edited) The problem is there are no alarm people within 200 miles! To be fair to my garage, they haven't requested a diagram - I just thought I would provide one if I could in order to help. coullstar 0 Posted November 21, 2016 I had this done on mine and it took the guy 20min. They should have just tapped into existing loom so the you just reinstate the wires and remove the aftermarket alarm. Im thinking of just removing current one as well, there more hassle than there worth. Didn't think you would need an alarm up there.
ray_vr6 1 Posted November 21, 2016 Yep not much in the way of car crime up here! but the Concept 50 had some great features - remote locking, remote headlight operation (defo good here!), remote boot release. remote window closure etc - but I will probably replace with simple system as insurance companies still like one fitted.
