VW 1.8 8v G60 Turbo engine

This is a very reliable engine conversion!

 

The engine is currently outputting 275 bhp and approximately 280 lb/ft torque at the fly on OEM VW management.

Potential power output of over 300bhp was easily achieved when originally built and owned by Jabbasport,

 

Being the 8v variety it's pretty basic to work on. Outline spec is:

 

G60 8v 1800cc bored out to 1900cc.

IHI VF29 Turbo.

Scat 144mm H-Beam Rods.

JE forged pistons.

Ported and gas-flowed head with large inlet valves, custom Piper camshaft and vernier pulley.

JabbaSport exhaust manifold and downpipe.

440cc injectors on 3.5bar fuel rail pressure.

 

Please note that the intercooler and radiator and associated pipe-work will not be sold with the engine. They are readily available parts though.

 

Would make an excellent conversion for any appropriate road/track/race car. I bought with this intention, unfortunately, life threw me game changer so I can’t go ahead with it anymore.

 

Engine is in Perth and will need to be collected/couriered from there. I may be able to arrange delivery at additional cost.
