Sommevr6 10 Posted February 27, 2017 Can anyone oblige and advise how the black side strips running the length of the corrado were kept in place from the factory-is it tape or an adhesive? The small front section behind the wheel arch on mine has come loose and I need to fit it back.
Jim Bowen 1 Posted February 27, 2017 It trim tape, got some of mine off at the moment and trying to clean it all off the back of the strips. Seems to be two lengths of about 8mm tape one above the other.
GrizzlyBear 11 Posted February 27, 2017 I believe it was held on using a sticky back foam, I have used some sticky back foam to put mine back on and it worked fine.
Sommevr6 10 Posted February 27, 2017 Thanks for that- it does seem to have a couple of thin strips of tape on but I had a re-spray at the back end of last year and didn't know whether it was something the body shop had done.
g0ldf1ng3r 15 Posted February 27, 2017 you need a proper car body trim tape m8 most of the sticky back stuff is not sufficient as water gets behind it & they fall off to remove the old tape off the strips or any residue on the car i found the auto glym tar remover to work best, but dont leave it on the car for too long
