Fuel filter

Was look at Corrados on eBay in one ad it says that it has 2 fuel filters replaced

Have found one filter (new), can't find a second filter

Has a 1993 VW Corrado 2.0 16V 2 fuel filters ,If so where about it is :bonk:

As far as I'm aware the 2.0 16v only has the one main fuel filter, which is similar to that on the 1.8 16v, which is placed next to or behind the high pressure fuel pump housing under car.

The filter under car is the one you change every 8000 to 12000 miles i.e on service.

 

The only other filters are the ones attached to the fuel lift pump in the tank and the high pressure fuel pump, but these normally last the live of the pumps.

Perhaps the seller means the basket filter that wraps around the main high pressure fuel pump, the one that's inside the black plastic swirl pot under the car. Sometimes I've found a small filter fitted inside the fuel union's banjo bolt that screws into the fuel inlet port on the fuel metering head.

I'm only aware of one large filter fitted to all corrados and that's the main canister type fitted opposite the main high press. pump.

That's the one that has been replaced,l thought l will check it out
