Bally 0 Posted July 22, 2004 I've noticed a knocking noise coming from front drivers side ever since I had a new CV outer boot done, its been all tracked up & is all ok.. wondering what could be causing it? also it feels like something loose as there play as I pull away like somethings not tighten enough Pls advise... I had a lower arm & bottom ball joint replaced on mine, 2 weeks later it started to feel worse than b4 it was all done. I found the bottom ball joint was coming loose!! Roger Blassberg 0 Posted July 23, 2004 Check the anti roll bar link hasn't broken. That makes a horrible cattering if it breaks and it can also rip the cv joint boot. Was the cv joint dismantled, cleaned and repacked with grease (hope so if the boot had split and vomitted its contents)? There's a chance that it wasn't put back together with the balls in their original slots, and the wearing surfaces don't match up any more.
