strut brace and bonnet lifter probs.

hi all - I bought some stuff from volksbits and Ive no idea how it fits.

 

strut braces - only looked at the front upper but the holes on the brace dont line up to any holes on the strut tower (in fact there dont seem to be any!!).

 

also the bonnet lifter completely baffles me as the instructions are in german and no pics.

 

any advice appreciated :)

I thought the bonnet lifters were for early bonnet Corrado's only.

doesnt say anything about the strut braces tho.

If its the same design as my old strut brace on my mk2 golf, you had to drill the inner wings to fix it in place, which wasnt nice, also I remember snapping 2 of the self tapping bolts they suppied it with, it turned out to be one of those jobs you wish you never started, and I dont think I would ever buy another where you have to drill the wings :(

there is a little bracket which matches the 2 bolts on the wing perfectly but if you attached the bracket the bonnet would never close

Also forgot to mention that when the brace was fitted I had the problem of the Throttle Body hitting the brace if I let the clutch out a little sharply, although this could have been sorted by fitting some stronger engine mounts I think :wink:
