mr.ots 10 Posted January 10, 2020 (edited) For sale is my 1996 Corrado VR6 Storm, which I have owned since 2005. The car has been regularly serviced and has a full VW service record up to 100,000 miles and then serviced by myself up to its current mileage of 119,800 miles. The car comes with an extensive full documentation showing all work carried out and receipts for all parts replaced. Work carried out includes: Oct 2011 - Oil & filter service (112,305 miles) Front pads replaced Front calipers refurbished (at Big Red) Rear discs and bearing replaced Rear pads replaced Replaced track control arm rear bushes (with R32 bushes) Replaced ball joints Replaced anti roll bar bushes Replaced drop links Dec 2013 - Full service (116,693 miles) Feb 2014 - Replaced power steering fluid Replaced Auxiliary Belt tensioner bearing June 2013 - Replaced all brake system hard lines (with Kunifer) from ABS pump to calipers Upgraded flexible brake hoses with Goodridge braided hoses July 2013 - Replaced crack pipe Replaced Water pump July 2016 - Refurbished brake master cylinder (professionally carried out by past parts) Replaced front discs & pads Replaced brake pressure regulator Mar 2019 - Removed rear beam and repainted & fitted new beam bushings Replaced rear shock absorbers and top mounts Repainted fuel tank straps May 2019 - Replaced front shock absorbers and top mounts Replaced tie rod ends Replaced steering rack bellows Replaced coolant thermostat Replaced thermostat housing coolant sensors x 3 Replaced oil cooler seals May 2019 - Carried out full service including Oil & Filter Air filter Fuel filter Spark plugs Ignition lead set The car has a current MOT expiring on 28/06/2020. There is 1 current advisory for a small oil leak from the oil cooler. The engine runs superbly and pulls like a train. All electrics on the car are in full working order, the spoiler raises at 60 mph and the sunroof both tilts and slides. The interior of the car is in superb condition with no cracks or tears to the seats or door cards. The original warning triangle and first aid kit are still present. The exterior of the car is in very good condition with only minor defects to the bodywork as you would expect for a car of this age. There is no major rust anywhere on this car including the underside which has been waxoyled as necessary to prevent corrosion. The sills are also in excellent condition. You will however find the usual stone chips on the bonnet and front wings and minor defects. The car also comes with the following items: Birth certificate from the Volkswagen Museum confirming production date of 3rd May 1995 and Storm specification. Extensive folder containing all documentation Every MOT certificate from the first one in 1999 to present Installation certificate for Clifford Concept 50 x car alarm and service receipt from Feb2007 17 road fund licence discs from Feb 2003 onwards 2 sets of keys with alarm fobs (all locks and ignition use same key) An additional set of BBS solitude wheels (require refurbishment). Hankook Evo V12 tyres all round with 6.5mm tread depth on the front and 7mm rears There are a couple of issues with the car at present which are the ABS light will sometimes stay on for a while after a cold start but goes off after driving for a while and the head lining is sagging and needs to be replaced. If you are looking for a totally standard, unmolested Corrado VR6 Storm then this is the car. I currently have an agreed insurance valuation from Admiral of £12,000. Please note, the personal registration is not included in the sale and will be removed prior to sale. The car is located in Addlestone, Surrey. Please PM me with any questions.
