goodridge 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Hi Guys, my mate has just done a cambelt on his rallye. Thing is performance is well down, he mis-timed the dizzy, has retified now. But my question is; to set the ignition timing with a light, do you have to put the ECU in basic setting mode with Vag Com/1551? :roll: Any help greatly appreciated. 24V Renshaw 0 Posted August 8, 2004 To set the timing on a G60, you want to start the car let it warm up and then disconnect the blue connector on the water pipe at the front of the head. Then increase the revs to 2500 RPM and set the timing to the mark on the flywheel. 7degrees. Re-connect the blue connector then raise the revs three times. That will be bang on.
