VR6 cylinder head cover breather section...

Hi there,

 

There's a little sludge coming out of the hose on the back of the breather section (the bit on the far left) on my cylinder head cover. Does anyone know what's in there?! :) Is it a changeable gauze or something?

 

Just to let you know, don't have any problems as far as overheating, water & oil usage is concerned, so assuming no head gasket problems. Also looks clean under the oil filler cap.

moiusture build up in the breather system is quite normal if the car is used on short journies
