Heardy 0 Posted September 13, 2004 I've just fitted some eibach sring's to my 93 VR6 and the top cup's seem to small. The part number's are 357412 341A are these correct for eibach spring's or are there some larger one's? any help would be appreciated Cheers Jason

stevemac 0 Posted September 13, 2004 So far as I'm aware there is only 1 type of top spring plate for the VR6 - I even have them fitted to my G60 8) The front springs should taper inwards at the top to meet the spring plates.

Heardy 0 Posted September 14, 2004 Thank's for the link Andy :) ok just to update this so everyone knows the score... aparently the change was in 1994 on the corrado front suspension and most spring suppliers only provide for the pre 1994 cars. part number for the larger spring plate is 1H0 412 341 and is about £10 The part number on mine is 357 412 341A does this mean mine already has the larger spring plate's on even though it's a 93 model. Heardy 0 Posted September 15, 2004 Can anyone confirm if mine has the larger spring plate, the part number is nearly the same
andyvlw 0 Posted September 17, 2004 I have a 94 VR6 and had to change the spring plate for the larger size 1H0 412 341. If you have 357 412 341A Then you have the smaller plate size. If your spring plate doesn't look right then I suggest you change it for the larger type, otherwise the spring at the very least will damage the plate. jedi-knight83 0 Posted September 17, 2004 the A in the part number does make a difference, you need to get the correct spring plate or else the spring will work its way off and you'll have all kinds of problems!
Heardy 0 Posted September 20, 2004 Cheers !! Looks like i'll have to strip it back down again then  I just hope it will last a couple more trips to the girlfriend's in manchester before i get chance to sort it out
jedi-knight83 0 Posted September 20, 2004 to be honest if its got the wrong cup then i wouldnt drive it untill its sorted!!! imagine front suspension failure at 70 mph...bye bye corrado!
