Seatbelts

Recommended Posts

My car has no rear seat belts, someone must have taken them out in the past, so i bought some of a guy down the road from me, he said that they were tested and they were cheap so i brought them home.

The problem is that they have curled up as they should and wont uncurl no matter what i do with them, ive never really worked with seatbelts before.

can any one help.

Cheers J

you need to orientate the mechanism to pretty much exactly how it would be in the car else it'll lock up. Were the seatbelts originally out of a Corrado? if they weren't you may have problems trying to get 'em to fit... :|

they have to be on the axis they would be in the car mounting points or they will lock up due to a ball bearing level/inertia device .........but whatever you do dont try and remove the side covers as the spring will more than likely fly out and they are a complete sod to put back in

edit: henny beat me to that one
