it's my corrado your talking about sandy, its on the forum(FOR SALE,Corrado 16v lowered price) anyway you and your mate were meant to come n see it again 2 weeks ago but i haven't heard anything,i've still got it if he's interested. E-mail me to let me know wots happening mate mailto:[email protected]
  2. this has probably been asked before, but can you change the speed the rear spoiler goes up and down? on a 16v 1990
  3. i cant see where its coming from but it looks like the rack is covered in fluid, if its the pump bearings how much do you think that would cost as the money situation isn't good
  4. checked the belt It's there and seems tight enough but i started the car up again and moved the steering wheel and its still grinding, whining squealing and its also pissing fluid all over the ground
  5. Since i've had my c there has been a squealing when i turn the wheel whilst not moving. Five mins ago i took it out for a spin and whilst stopped at a junction i moved the wheel and heard a loud grating sound and then smoke started pouring from the bonnet!!!!! i turned off the car opened the bonnet and noticed smoke billowing from the steering rack area and the steering fluid is at min but it was at full this morning, i topped up the fluid and drove it back to the house ( 100 yards ) it didn,t grate or squeal untill i stopped and tried moving the wheels and the grating started Again, any ideas???????????

    rust

i have a few small spots of bubbling rust on my c, a couple on the inner edge of the front wings and some chips on the front of the wings, can anyone tell me the best, and cheapest way to sort these out as the rest of the paintwork is stunning and these small spots are really annoying....
  8. thanks for your help guys
  9. the car cut out again yesterday, tried what u said and the car still didn't start, it tries to go but just isn't catching, anyway called out the r.a.c and he said he usd to work with volkswagon and he would recomend changing the distributor (with hall sensor) as the 16 valvers are bad for them, so i've got one on the way and hopefully this will sort the problem.
  10. what grade of oil should i use on my 18 16v c, it's done 100k?????
  11. i have an intermittant problem with my corrado 18 16v, about once a week it'll cut out, only when warm and then fail to start untill it has cooled down ( 20mins-half an hour) i've changed the dizzy cap, rotor arm, leads and plugs and this seemed to help, it still cut out but it started again within 5-10 mins. Any ideas? I've been told it could be the hall sensor on the dizzy??
