  1. All Original, Unmolested G60 - Red With a heavy heart, I need to let my beloved G60 go. I have owned it since September of 2014, having bought it from a colleague. He had owned it for the last 18 years; before that his father owned it. Throughout its life, it has been well looked after with full VW Main Dealer service history. Huge folder of paperwork included. It?s done 138K miles and still feels tight. Since I bought it, it has spent some time with John Mitchell Racing in Littlehampton where is has had ?3K work done on it. The good: ? Fully rebuilt JMR ?stage 1 plus? supercharger ? ABS in full working order ? New VR6 clutch ? Rebuilt gearbox ? Starts first time, every time ? All unmolested original with BBS alloys ? MOT till September A few items yet to fix: ? Driver?s side door requires separate key due to previous attempted break in. ? Driver?s side door handle is loose due to addition of a Golf security plate (see photo). ? Sunroof non operational ? Speedo/rev counter non operational ? likely to be an earth issue (according to the threads I?ve found here, but beyond my technical capabilities). ? Fabric worn through on the drivers side seat (see photo). There can?t be many all original unmolested G60s left ? grab one of the last while you can. Looking for ?2,800 cash preferred (paypal ok if you cover fees) Car is in Ascot, Berkshire. Available to view. Thanks for looking List Date: 4/26/2015 Location: Ascot (Berks), Sunninghill and Ascot, United Kingdom For more info, click here to view the original listing: All Original, Unmolested G60 - Red -------------------------------------- On Sale For: ?2,800.00 (Local Pickup Only) -------------------------------------- Mobile friendly version: All Original, Unmolested G60 - Red Go Mobile: Download the free Panjo iOS app now!
  2. Hi All When starting my G60 with my foot on the brake, I hear a vibrating/buzzing noise, and the brake pedal rises against my foot pressure. Today, with the first rain around here for a while, I tried a few low-speed "crash- stops", and was able to lock the front brakes on the wet road. Is there a problem with the ABS: and if so, what is it, and what is the cure? I hope you can help. ATB TPT

  4. I've now had a a bit more time to browse the forum. Interesting how the same issues that I have with my car ( sunroof, sloppy gearchange etc.) keep coming up. TPT
  5. Thanks for the reply, clumpy: I wonder if anyone has any further information. TPT
  6. I have seen the term "Valver" used. Could someone please explain to a Newbie what this means? Thanks TPT
  7. Hi All The door skin around the driver's door handle on my Corrado has been damaged by an attempted break-in. Following a similar occurrence some years ago on a Mark 2 Golf, I was able to cover the damage by fitting "Armor" door plates from C & R Enterprises. C & R tell me that they don't make such plates for Corrados. Do any of you know anyone that does? Or, can the C & R plates for a Golf, say, be modified to fit a Corrado? (I'm more interested in the cosmetic aspects, rather than security) Many thanks
  8. Thanks for your warm welcome all. As far as I can tell, it is entirely unmolested barring a tow bar(!), and I plan to keep it that way (after removing the tow bar) - a gentle and sympathetic restoration rather than a racing transformation. TPT
  9. I'm a long time Corrado fan but up until three weeks ago, I had no plans to become an owner. This all changed when a guy as work announced he was intending to sell his G60: a car that was bought new by my colleague’s father 22 years ago and that he took ownership of around 18 years ago. I was immediately interested and, following a quick viewing and a small negotiation (the terms of which includes an annual drive for the former owner), I am now the proud owner of my first (and possibly not my last) Corrado. It has just passed its MOT and runs very well so there are no urgent issues to resolve but over the coming months I have a couple of projects in mind: Mend/replace the sunroof (hasn’t worked for years) Repair/Recover the threadbare fabric on the drivers seat (unsurprising at 135k miles) Repair/Respray spots of rust here and there During my time here, I’m hoping to tap into your collective experience and knowledge as my project unfolds and, no doubt, more fundamental problems present themselves. So thanks in advance for your input and your patience while I get up to speed – in the meantime, here are a couple of shots of my pride and joy… Thanks TPT
