Hey Tom. Do you still have the rear numberplate mounting / lock surround? Cheers, Ben

Hey all, I'm thinking the time has come to sell the VR. I've had it a loooong time, and experienced all it could possibly have thrown at me (I think, but who knows at this point). I've been a bit lazy with the upkeep the last couple of years, as I was driving it less and less. There's a fair bit of work required to bring her back to former glories, which at this point seems like it might be a huge wedge of wasted time & money if there's any value or chance of selling as a project car without the outlay from me. So, my question is really whether anybody had advice or experience on this conundrum, and if so how I'd go about assessing a value for something this hard to pinpoint? Cheers in advance, Ben.

I think it's one of the original ones, years ago

Hey guys, Wonder if anyone has any ideas on the following, suggestions welcome. The full beams aren't working. The dipped beams work fine, as do the side-lights. I've replaced all the bulbs, no difference. I've replaced the indicator/headlight stalk, no difference. I've checked the fuses in the panel, and all appear to be in-tact. Confused. Cheers, Ben

Haha, yep that still happens to me too. The last time something hit my leg it was hot water, seconds before the heater matrix blew and flooded the cabin with steam. 90mph on the A3. Luckily there wasn't a sole on the roads so I could pull over. OK, cheers guys! Weird, as you'd think if you're not adjusting the wheel height, why would it ping off!? Corrados. Oh dear.

Afternoon chaps. I was parking up yesterday and heard a 'ping', something hit my leg. Once stopped I had a look and the spring & mount shown in the picture below had come loose. Does anyone know what they're from? I'd assumed it was related to the clutch pedal, but that's still working (as are the other pedals). Strange. Cheers, Ben

Nope, not that. On the part of the door/card that would be next to lock/hook on the side of the door, there are two flat pins on the outside of the door-frame. These connect to two righ angled brackets inside the door and help it remain stuck to the door?

In terms of damage, the driver's door (window frame) has been bent out where they tried to break in (and failed), as the seals no longer make proper contact when closed. I've taken photos for evidence. The Estate Agent, Solicitor & Auctioneer all knew what they were doing was wrong... 1. The auctioneer guy I spoke to when collecting the car said he'd remarked in an email to the solicitors 'this is one fast old lady'. 2. An email I've been fwd'd between Estate Agent & Solicitor shows they were confused as to why there was a car in the garage, and no keys. Knowing that they all knew something was odd, and that they didn't conduct any kind of check, with anyone, is damning.
