im a engineering technician (fitter) jobs not bad ,moneys not bad, shifts are long ! but im gunna be a dad soon so ill be having some time off !!!!! cant wait .

my rad cooling fan is on its way out , ive been told that they are the same as the ones on a mk3 golf , anyone know if this is true , if so what model golf ?? :D

Ye thanks mate found this out today when a went for a run to York , nearly choked the wife ! she wasnt amused as she s 8 months pregnant . hope the smell goes away soon !!!

hi mate ,the job wasnt that bad really once i found all the retaining screws ect , matrix was an easy item to change , then fitting it all back in was a pain trying to remember where all the wires went , didnt help things having to repair an existing bodge job on the radio wiring {done by a previuos owner} but all back in now and seems ok , flushed the system & added new coolant , overall a fairly good job that saved me a lot of wonga at the stealers ......

I got the bugger out !! two more m6 nuts under bottom of screen , just the matrix to change then all back together , hope it all goes back in ok :?

im trying to get my dash out due to my heater matrix leaking ,ive undone everything i can see , & the two in the engine bay but still doesnt wanna come out ??? has anyone any info please . i removed my mkii golf one with no probs but this is driving me mad ??? :mad: :mad: :mad:

Went out yesterday & drove for about 15 miles then parked up ,when i got back in my car {10 mins later } the instrument panel & windscreen where wet through with steam temp gauge reading 90 degrees & red warning light flashing , ive lost about 1 pint of water but cant see where its gone , has anyone had the same problem ??????

there autocross {rallycross} cars , i saw the red one at autosports show @ nec absolutly awsome !!

hope someone can help on this one !! my door / window strip is knackered so i thought 3ft of rubber cant be that dear !!!!! phoned my local vw dealer and they quoted me £49 each for pre 1991 & £148 each for 1991 onwards, all plus vat i asked them to re-check but got told that this was the correct price , surley this is a outrageous price and shouldnt be able to charge as much .. does anyone know any other suppliers of these rubbers ????????? :? :? :?

Hi Scott , had a look for the fpr under the dizzy ,dont know exactly what im looking for but all i can see is 3 small sensors & 1 large one around the water outlet , which of these [ if any ] is the fpr ??????? :? :? :? :?

1990 16v only got 80,900 miles on it , a lot more to go ! many years of happy cruising !!!
