Hi, have just bought a 1993 VR6 auto which was parked for a couple of years and wish to thank the site members for their info helping me fix it and getting an mot. So far have replaced the washer jet pump and hoses, blew out the lines, flushed the wash bottle, stripped the rear wiper, replaced the ignition switch (vw part 6no 905 865, tricky job, 20deg bend on the last 5mm of a small crosshead and cut back the handle) replaced all speakers (rubbers perished), repaired and polished the paint, replaced old alarm. Next job is to flush and replace the auto box transmission fluid so keen reader of the relevant posts. The good bits, car is 3 owners sub 100k miles and handles well, engine has led a relaxed life, spoiler comes up at 50mph and the sunroof works. Had manual g60 and vr6 in the 90s so this is a milder drive, but still nice to be back in one. Cheers
