hi, i posted something similar on the servicing forum, ive got the same problem on my 16v, is the downpipe heatshield supposed to be in 2 parts? or is mine split down the middle? is there anyway of removing/replacing the heatshields without taking the downpipe off? also a little unsure about how they actually attach to the pipe thanks

hi all, recently discovered this forum but ive been on the yahoo board for a while anyone recommend any helpful garages in the SW london/surrey area?, ive got a nasty rattle coming from the cat area (its been decatted and the exhaust itself isnt rattling or touching anywhere so im thinking some sort of heatshield), my usual garages cant seem to trace it or just cant be bothered as it wont make them any money :x cheers
