I was same bought GSF £30(if u want it i would sell u it for £15 posted,is fairly new used for month or two)mine was same didnt need it(blue temp sender)also just posted above to someone,check the actual wiring to your probe for snapped melted wires(maybe a cheap fix)

Check your wiring to your probe as sometime this can get damaged and caused these sort of problems. If not the blue sender is a good bet too
