I was going to do the transplant myself but I had to go the Norway for work. My mechanic (VAG speciallist) is doing it at the moment (I hope). I'm home next week so I take a few pic's if he has started.

I'm currently swapping my G60 engine for a 2l 9a with a rotrex supercharger. The head is flowed and in using wonnser 8.5:1 piston and steel rods. I got a lot of parts from RPM in germany and the braket for the supercharger from R-Tech in Denmark. I'm also upgrading the exhaust system with a 2.5", a golf G60 FMIC and megasquirt. My main problem is that I have to remove the brake servo as I'm putting the altenator on the back of the engine (so I can use the Golf G60 FMIC). I'm trying to source a pedal box at the moment. It's not the cheapest option, but I've been collection the part for about 3 years now, if I added it all up I'll shoot myself :snipersmile: , lol. I'm hoping for at least 300bhp at the wheels, but in all honesty I've no idea what power it will make as I've haven't see another one done before.

You looking at converting a RHD car? If so and from experience the BBM kit is a little lacking, depending how you want to go then I would recommend getting some of the odd parts from BBM and also some parts from RPM Tunning in Germany. Be careful when ordering from RPM in Germany. I ordered an inlet manifold and some other bits, and 8 months later it arrived. And there communication is crap.

Hello all, can anyone telll me the flow rate of the injectors on a 2L 16V Corrado engine and the fuel pressure. Also the same for a G60. Cheers.

I'm having trouble finding a exhaust manifold for a 2l too. Been searching for ages, loads out there for left hand drive cars. Somebody must have one fitted!

Which RSR outlet are you using, pics below or I would perfer to use the second one because of the larger inlet but with a 135 deg elbow on it I think it'll be to long and rub against the radiator fan. Have you and pics of your setup.

Hi, I will be soon fitting a Golf G60 intercooler to my corrado G60 and I was wondering if an RSR style outlet (straight one) with a 135deg bend on it will fit (rather than the bend that the Golf uses). I can see that there isn't much room between the charger exhaust and the radiator fan. I'm going to port the charger outlet and the porting all depends on the outlet size, the bigger the better! Yip, I did the same thing with the mesh, cut the return pipe and refitted it with the mesh in it. I do alot of driving and the whistling noise at 70-80mph was driving me crazy but no dump valve noise anymore. Also, I got a can of that PTFE spray from G-Werks, how do you guys use it. At the moment I'm just taking off the tube on the filter side of the charger and spraying it in there with the car idling, is this right or is there a better way to do it. Cheers Benny.

Hi, can anyone tell me if the 2 rear brake calipers are the same (but opposite) on a '91 G60. The reason I ask is that my hand brake is crap and while looking at the calipers, I noticed that the passenger side lever, the one the hand brake cable attaches to, is not springing back into position, ie when I release the hand brake that lever on the caliper stays in the "ON" position and its not locking the wheel which is strange. I know that the drivers side caliper has a spring on it, as its working so I went into my local dealer and asked for the spring and they told me that it was part of the caliper and not for sale as a separate part. But on closer inspection of the 2 rear calipers they are slightly different when it comes to the hand brake lever connection. Has anyone ever had to change this spring on the passenger side caliper, and if so do you have a part number. And any advice muchly appriciated. Cheers

Hi, I was checking ebay for an exhaust manifold for my G60 and I saw the Supersprint one below on the German site. He has it listed as a Golf II and Corrado G60 manifold. So, I checked the supersprint web site and they only list it for the Golf as a CAT replacement. I assume that it will fit the G60 as the G60 manifold listed on the supersprint site has the same part number as the Golf one. The reason I ask is that I will be removing the CAT so it makes sense to get the one in the picture, its part number is 883801. Has anyone fitted one of these?
