The engine is making a little bit of noise but nothing excessive, and although not misfiring, it's not as smooth as it could be. What would the expansion cost, and what would the results be?

The old girl is about to roll over into the 130,000 mile zone and have been advised to have the timing chains changed. I'm about to book her in with Stealth, and was thinking about having the engine re-mapped while she's there. She's a Storm so I don't want to do anything drastic to the engine, but would like a bit more poke all the same. I put her on the rolling road when I first got her and she had 210bhp, so what could I expect if I get it done? What other non invasive things could I get done? Cost and results. (she already has a KandN and upgraded exhaust. Cheers chaps Mat

Car doesn't smell at all, coolant is at the same level as before and as far as I can tell the seals around the door are intact. Autoglass had a look at her and don't think it's a windscreen problem. I got her dry the other day only for it to start raining, but this showed me that the water is coming in the back footwell.

Hi guys, Over the last few days I have noticed the windows in the motor have been misting up. Checked the passenger footwell and front and back are completely full of water. This has never happened before and has me a little concerned. I've read the other blog on here about water in footwells with any of them being the reason, but there's just so much of the bloody stuff. I'm a complete novice when it comes to DIY Corrado repairs, so if anyone can provide pics or an idiot (which is what I am) proof walkthrough to show me what to do to avoid costly garage bills. Many thanks, Mat

Ah yes... revenge would indeed be sweet. And to be fair, I've killed 3 of the little f**ks with the front end of my baby since I've had her so I guess they're owed a little payback. (they are that slow and stupid around here) Based in the fine sea side resort that is Birmingham so any Midlands painters would be nice. Weasel

Having recently had a bird crap on my bonnet, I wiped it off only to find out that due to the toxicity of city centre pidgeon cack the paintwork has been quite badly scratched. I'm had a professional do his best but it's still quite obvious, so was considering a respray. She's in mystic blue and I was wondering if anyone knew of a place and how much it would cost to get done? Mat

Gentlemen, My girl has just rolled over into the mighty 120,000 mile era of her life and is still going strong. That said, I hear a lot of talk about getting her tensioners and cam belt replaced, and for the love of God I can't find them having been done in the service history! So I'm going to get the aforementioned done, but can any of you chaps suggest what else may need doing? Don't want my land shark shredding itself from under me at 120mph. Weasel.

I'm running out of Birmingham on the south west corner. I've been toying with the idea of tinkering with the engine.... but would quite like to keep her as close to original spec as possible. Although someone before me has lowered it to the point of not being able to use multi storey carparks, and bolted a new cone and exhaust on.

Anyone know where I could get some original solitudes for my Storm and a likely cost? Weasel

All clear!!!! My baby has been confirmed as a Storm. Now guys where can I get her checked out to make sure the engine is performing as it should? I want her running perfectly and need to know where to go and how much it's likely to cost? I know it's probably me just getting used to the power but she's starting to feel a bit sluggish, and just want to check her out. Weasel.

Well she's got 'BBS' alloys now so no original bits there. Iv'e hunted in the boot for a sticker but couldn't find one, but I have found a yellow plate which is rivetted to the bodywork inside the engine bay which has 'LC5L' Mystic Blue printed on it with a few other codes. Where am I looking in the boot? Customer care will have to wait until tuesday.

The 'corrado' badge is silver. And the chassis number is 50-S-002975. Mean anything to you?

That picture didn't come through chief. As for the colour there is a yellow tag on the inside of the bonnet on the left hand side which says mystic blue and she doesn't look re-sprayed. What concerns me is the actual 'VR6' badge on the back is in red and not silver as I have seen on all the promo pictures.

Guys, I bought a VR6 about 3 months ago and the man said it was a Storm. Everything about it said Storm. Black leather seats (heated of course), Mystic Blue, Rear badge. However I came to get the air con fixed and it was a Diavia and not VW system, and as it doesn't have the original alloys I'm starting to doubt it's the real deal. Any foolproof methods to find out? If some shit has just glued a 'Storm' badge on the back and done it up I shall not be happy. Weasel

Have bought a VR6 Storm and she runs at around 104 degrees oil temp. Is this ok, or should this be lower? Also the air con's knackered (or so it would seem). How much is fixing that going to set me back? Go easy on me, I know jack about mechanics.
