i've got it insured ok i'm just thinking of selling it because it never gets used. i actually had it sold for 3.5k last february but had a crash on the day i was taking it to its new owner! i was just wondering what it would be worth now, does the value go down by a percentage if it's cat c?
-
how much does it devalue your car if its a cat c write off. thinking of selling mine again but don't know where to pitch it. the repair was done by the garage who's looked after all my cars to a very high standard. everything lines up perfectly & the car drives straight & true. it was only a light damage front end so just got a replacement bonnet, bumper, slam panel & headlight & it was fixed.

from what i can gather its a twxt of a job, had mine done a couple of months ago & the fitter said the corrado's one of the worst cars ever to work on! if you're fully comp check your insurance, you might have windscreen cover. cost me 60 quid & it doesn't affect your no claims. good luck if you do attemp it.....

been rather busy with the old girl these past few months, spent a small fortune since the crash! going from 17's down to 16's has made a massive difference to the ride quality so i'll be sticking with 16's. quite fancy some bbs rx's at some point but i'll stick with the montreals for the time being. got the koni's fitted & the leather put in, got some smoked rear lens which i thought would look charvery but i really like them! got the lupo wipers on, fan-f-n-tastic mod, best thing you can do! other random stuff, had an arch repaired by an old school lead worker type guy, he did an amazing job of cutting out the rotten piece & blending another piece in. new pioneer mp3 head unit fitted & new speakers all round & probably other stuff that i've forgot about. just have to try to find where the water's getting in & that's it.........

Any photos as thats the only one I could find. Tedman Ive already contacted the guy and the silver ones. The Monti's do look good but then so do the 4motion ones. here's a couple of pics of mine with the monti's, not great pics but you get the idea
-
i've got monti's on mine, wasn't too sure at first but really like them now. plus there's loads of 'em about & pretty cheap

i've been thinking it could be coming in through the screen but there's never been water in the drivers side but now there is. i'll try a few other things but if that doesn't sort it then i think i'll be taking the whole interior out & see if i can see where it's coming in. thanks for giving me a few more ideas anyway, think i'm going to be rather busy over the festive period!

this is really doing my head him in! i've now found water in the drivers side footwell which must be running into to back footwell. i had a new stat put in the car 3 weeks ago & the coolant is still where it was so hopefully that'll rule out the heater matrix, checked the sunroof drain holes & all is working well there. i'm running out of ideas as to where the water's coming in, any other ideas? i'm thinking of pulling all the carpets out to see if that helps locate the leak!!!
-
i was thinking it could be the heater matrix but wouldn't that make the front passenger footwell wet? that's bone dry so that's making me think it could be coming in through the sunroof drainholes or somewhere else from the back.
-
well i thought the problem was all sorted after i had a new windscreen fitted but i've noticed the passenger side rear carpet is still wet. thought it might just be taking a long time to dry out but it's noticeably wetter now. the only thing i haven't checked are the sunroof drain holes, mainly coz i've no idea what i'm doing! i done a search & apparently you poke a bit of wire down the drain holes, is this right? also is there anywhere else the water can come in? like i've said before i've totally sealed by door membrane, changed the foliage cover, checked all the trim & seals round the doors & fitted a new windscreen. this is really doing my head in so any help would be great. cheer

a trip up hartside sounds like a plan! mine could do with a decent ride out somewhere, hardly gets used at the mo!

since putting 16" wheels on my car & prefering it i'm thinking of selling my 17" momo m1's. i've no idea what kinda price to put them up for & don't want to put them ebay & get peanuts for 'em. i've never seen them on another car yet alone a corrado & i remember jimmi (who owned the car a few years before i did) saying they cost a fortune when he bought them. i'm getting them refurbed again just to sort a couple of scrapes so they'll be in mint condition & the tyres are ok, maybe a few mil of thread left. i've attached a couple of pics of the wheels & how they look on the car, hopefully it'll help with trying to guess how much they are worth.
-
thanks for that james, couldn't see mine coz it's covered in gunk! do you have to take the front end of the car off, looks a bit tricky to get too?
-
just had a spadge at where you've pictured james but i'll be buggered if i can see where the stat is???!!! i can see the 3 senders but not the stat. also is it a big job to change the housing?
