Hi all Does anyone know the gearbox codes for the following 6 speed quattro boxes: Audi S3 (210) 2/9/99 - 30/11/01 Audi S3 (225) 5/11/01 - 1/11/03 Audi A3 TDi Quattro sport (130) 31/12/01 - 1/11/03 If anyone has the ratios and final drive info, that will be even better! Many thanks Paul

Thanks to the lorry driver who drove into my g60 last Thursday morning on the M1. Today the assessor said it is likely to be written off. I am sure the insurance company are not going to offer me much and I will refuse payment until I get a fair offer. My question is can I buy my car back and if so how much should I pay? Do I need to ask them and at what stage?

Just to rule this out, please check the alternator bearing, i.e. is there any movement in the pulley? If there is, the blades will catch the alternator case and cause a tin type sound. Good luck Paul
