  1. alright peeps, set of 8" x 18" RH ME genuine 3 Piece wheels for sale, come in a 5 x 112 fitment but uses the RH adaptor system so can be changed to whatever bolt pattern you require by changing the adaptors (available from tunershop) or may be able to fit Eibach, H & R's etc dont know. ET is 55 without the adaptors or 35 with the included 5 x 112 adaptors. 3 wheels are mint, one wheel has slight curbage and laquer peel on the lip. All parts interchangeable if you require wider rears etc. No tyres (unless you fancy some 225/45's). Collection from South East London £425 Cheers Brett
  2. My "friends" in my "other" scene just dont get it .... The dub luv never lets go even if you dont own one :) The daily driver: Brett
  3. I know what your saying about the stripped out look, if they were going on the Rado I would have kept them without caps but my Diesel Repmobile Wagon is never gonna be able to be considered a Racer by any stretch of the imagination, but He Ho like it says in the title its an experiement anyway may go back to having them without the big caps if I fancy a change a few months down the line, I will probably be getting some custom 58mm badges made up as I just wouldnt feel right putting the fake BBS badges on that came with the wheels
  4. My LM Replica's and what they look like on my daily driver No comments about my lovely roof rack please :} Ive love the LM but ive always thought that they should have had a big centre cap (or that has the look of ones that have fallen off!), so after much measuring of a variety of cars centre caps in asda and my local ford dealers and 4 prototypes later (Mondeo Zetec S centres and Fiesta ST Centres) and lots of routing plyboard, screwing and superglueing finally settled on these - Focus Ghia centres, which funnily enough ended up fitting more or less straight on with minimal farting about with. this is what they look like finished: another view It would have been alot easier and cheaper for me just to buy say the Inovit DTM's but they were not exactly what i wanted :}
  5. alright peeps, seen a set of fully Mirror Polished Jag Rims going cheap which I am thinking of fitting to the daily driver (mondeo estate oo er) which would go lovely with my mirror polished roof rails but was just wondering what the implications are, corrosion and cleaning wise and how they compare against say normal diamond cut rims (which i have at the mo) and chromeys any experiences and opinions would be appreciated bearing in mind i do 25K a year ! cheers Brett
  6. blimey - loads of replies anyway to start things, where the boost kicks in is exactly the same rpm as before the remap, i had it dyno'd and the charts were very very similar up until 2500 rpm when the extra 50 BHP becomes apparent I took a fair few passat 1.8T for test drives before i brought mine and they were all pretty much the same pull wise and none of them had a real noticable "kick" from the turbo, they were all estates and big ole beasts TBH, mine does run fine really i think, although if you really boot it the boost does seem a bit erratic over 4000 rpm and was smoother before the remap My car is on 70K and the MAF was the first thing i changed just for the sake of it and made no difference, i havent looked into the N75 as yet My map is supposedly a custom map but only because mine place are not VW specialists ! So the decat should help but was worried aboult EML's ? I havent got under the car yet but do 1.8T's have a rear lamda as well as front ones ?? cheers Brett
  7. alright peeps, I have seen and read the 15 page thread above but that seems more concerned with getting the 1.8T lump in ! anyway, since the C is a long distant memory ive now got a APU engined Passat Estate, its currently standard apart from a Remap which upped the power to 199 BHP which I am more than happy with BUT due to whatever reason the turbo doesnt really start kicking in at all til about 1900 rpm and only when it gets to 2500 rpm does it really start boosting and up until then what with it being a big ole beast its pretty gutless especially pulling away from a standstill. Is there anything that can be done to get the turbo kicking in earlier? Ive got a 4 branch, a bigger induction pipe and a decat pipe sitting in my garage waiting to go on - are these likely to help? as im not bothered about more power after 2500 rpm ??? Any thoughts would be appreciated ta Brett
  8. cheers for that, good forum, there is a post on there telling exactly what i need to know !!! looks like im gonna go down the 150 BHP 4 x 4 route as i dont actually like the VRS interior probably gonna bung in a set of GTI Recaro's if i can !! Gotta sell the ole Vectra First though !
  9. alright peeps, i really need to get myself an estate and was thinking about a Octavia 1.8T So whatever one i go for id like to get it up to the magic 225 BHP but dont want to just get it remapped id like to make it as OEM as possible. So what is the actual differences between say the 3 main ones, the 150, the 180 and the 225 ? I take it there is actual different internals and not just mapping ! Basically i havent decided yet whether to go for the 1.8T 4 x4 150 BHP standard one or the VRS 180 BHP 2WD The 4 x 4 will be cheaper to buy and insure but obviously the VRS looks better. Although it wont take alot of dough to get the standard car looking like a VRS so will the 4 x 4 help me get the power down better or should i just get the VRS ??? any thoughts would be appreciated cheers Brett
  10. are you sure you didnt cost yourself three points? maybe you could write and ask them to pay your fine! :lol: Yes I know it was my own fault but peeeed off anyway got to see the Veyron going past later which was pretty cool and my all time favorite car an F40 !!!!
  11. these FCKING RICH NANCY BOY WORK SHY TOSSERS have cost me 3 points on me licence !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didnt know anything about it and was going down the 50 MPH bit of the A20 at Crittals corner doing about 70 in the van (it is a motorway more or less) and have been filmed by a copper on the bridge with a handheld speed camera, he was placed there on purpose because it was 400 yards before the normal speed camera - bugger bugger bugger
  12. Just wondering because its my old car and the day before i sold it (to a dealer) i bunged in some jet door trims and changed the crappy aftermarket window switches with Tigra style ones and i didnt have a clue about the wiring and just did as good as i could - it made some rather funny noises after when i turned the lights on, id hate to think its burst into flames or something??? Brett :roll:
  13. so if we say that a corrado is faster than a veyron, also theoretically my battered old transit van is faster than a corrado - because you can summarise that getting from A to B it is quicker than a corrado because: 1, the van can go over speed bumps without ripping off the front bumper 2, the van can go over bumps in the road without going strangely uncontrollably sideways 3, the van actually has wing mirrors that you can see things in so you can overtake without praying ! 3, you do not shut your eyes every time you go near a bramble bush down a country lane 4, vans do not run away from people with asda shopping trolleys like the corrado 5, the van actually get 30 plus mpg which i dont spose any rado's get 6, you can actually walk into a dealer and get parts so less waiting around scratching your ar$e so all in all my van is faster than a veyron
  14. alright peeps, whilst down the pub we got on to the subject of cars and me being slightly "merry" come up with the amazing realisation that although the likes of the Veyron et al may be able to supposedly do 250 MPH at any one time i dont think they could actually "travel" 250 miles in 1 hour because i should imagine that whilst doing 250 MPH you would probably only get about 2 MPG and what would the size of the tank be - 20 gallons or something (probably not much space for anything bigger with all them turbo's and rads) - so the car would only be able to do 40 miles or something before running out of juice and would have to be filled up again which obviously takes time, so with my calculations it can only do about 125 miles an hour which means that a VR6 is actually faster than a Veyron !! Or am i just talking B£llocks :lol:
  15. alright peeps just trying to get the other halfs door trims off the MK4 = removed the 3 T15 screws from the bottom and still solid as a rock - does something need prising off first ala Corrado grab handle ??? cheers Brett
