My VR6 has a strange noise that can happen anytime but it's mainly when its cold and when setting off in 1st gear or reverse, it does it sometimes though when i'm just parked up with the engine running. It lasts the same amount of time every time which isn't long so, that with it being intermittent is making it difficult to find out where its coming from! :x It sounds like a motor running and it vibrates the dash abit, can't make out if its under the bonnet or behind the dash some where, when it happens it only lasts about 3-4 seconds thens goes away! Its doing my feckin sweed in! :brickwall:

I bought my VR6 about 2 weeks ago, i've done about 600 miles since then and had to top it up with oil twice! Both times its been on the minimum mark and i topped it up to maximum. I've had a look for a leak and apart from a couple very minor ones that i can't see being a problem the engines clean. There is also not much smoke coming out the exhaust, only a bit when i first start the engine and when its cold. Also i changed the plugs the other day there was some oil on them. Could this be the valve stem oil seals? :? I hope its not piston rings! :cry:

Am i being daft? I can't seem to find anywhere to get a bmc for my vr6 :oops: I can find them for the golf vr6, will this fit? Also do these have a louder induction noise than the standard air filter? Cheers.

just had a quick look behind both rear door cards, theres nothing on the passenger side and a big black box on the drivers side. looks like a control box for something though, not a relay.

ok. Had a look under the seats and can see a connector with wires going into the seats, i'm guessing these are for the heating elements???? So looks like i've got the heated seats but still couldnt find any wiring loom to plug into them! Is there anywhere i can buy a loom and is it hard to wire them up? will it have to go through the fuse boxand require a relay?

Thats exactly what i thought. I couldnt find any plug on the seats, where abouts would it be? would the loom be along the door sill?

My corrado has leather seats and a switch for heated seats but no wires to connect to it and i can't see any under the seats either! :? Is this normal or am i just being teased with the thought of having nice warm seats when its freezing in the morning?

Where abouts is it? At the end of the igition barrel?

When i start my car (vr6) sometimes the headunit comes on and sometimes it doesn't. :cry: Theres no power getting to the headunit when this happens. If i wiggle the key in the ignition back and forth a little bit it comes on. Is this the start of my ignition switch going faulty? Is it going to get worse and how much will it cost to fix? Is it easy to do aswell? Thnks for helpin me, and i hope its not expensive :wink:

If i get a K&N cone filter is there a surround or somethin that you can get to stop it from sucking in hot air from the engine bay? Wheres the best place for buyin them too? Cheers for the help!

Evenin, just bought my first Corrado VR6 :) i'm plannin on gettin an induction kit but don't know which one to get. Can anyone tell me a decent one but not too expensive? Pics of them fitted would be great too if possible. Cheers!!!!
