big "thanks" to james as he predicted it was the the crank sensor, but luckily for me it was just corroded terminals in the connecting block,after he gave them a quick clean up it fires and runs spot on, cheers again m8 for coming through to sort it out

fuel pump relay is 167 and was thinking about the fuel pressure aswell were is the regulator for it?

just got the VR back on the road after 6 months of it sitting in garage, the car has ran perfect for nearly 2 weeks doing about 35m a day , Now when i come to start it in the morning or when its been left a few hrs it just wont fire up, for 3 or 4 long cranks then it decides to start and drives perfect no loss of power, So ive changed the relays 109 and 167 and it started straigt away yesterday and first time this morning, But tonight after work done the same again wouldnt start until the 4th attempt, Once its started it will restart straight away no probs until its left a couple of hrs thanks phil

just bought a 2.0 avent mk3 golf for the summer and found that the drivers heated seat doesnt work passenger side works fine, any help/suggestions would be good thanks phil

after closer inspection found that the cable had snapped, found a motor and mech from breakers they wanted £60 for it and 40 to fit it, had a look at the job myself and thought id have a go. drill rivets out unbolt the 2 nuts holding window glass in then pop out the 2 white roller bushes from the metal supports with a bit force and a lot of fiddling about it all comes out. 2 put back in i needed to remove the glass from the door as mech would'nt go back in, once the window was out the way, it was easy window was a little tricky gettin back in, the problem is the stupid rubbber spacers that hold the motor in place still have the rivet in and i couldnt get it all out, Just to top it off i found a motor and mech for £20 from another corrado owner so all in im well pleased :clap: saved £80 and did it myself

took door card off 2day and nothing i see seems 2 be loose or hanging off , when i press the switch i can hear and feel the motor click, but thats all i get no movement, how hard is it to remove and fit motor its pop-riveted in more help would be nice some 1 must of had same prob or had 2 replace the motor, does any1 know if both windows work off same relay as the drivers side is fine thanks

Pressed passenger side window button today and window came down, heard a clunk and window came straight back on its own and now wont work at all. also wont work from passenger side switch, im thinking that it cant be the motor broke or else how would it of came back up any idea's ? 95 VR6 model

noticed the other day windows stopped working, so replaced fuse and it works fine until i go and start the car and then it pops, renewed the fuse a couple of times and same thing keeps happening, now the windows wont work at all and the fuse is not blowing, I know the motors are ok because they went back up when using the key in door lock to shut everything any help???? any 1??? cheers

got prob solved a while ago, just forgot to give reason for cutting out, The reason: a faulty ecu relay, :? and the price to fix? free from a crashed golf from the local breakers :lol: no probs since :D

got it today and fitted it !!! took it for a drive and seriously the power gain was immmmmmmense, :lol: i out dragged a r32 over took a sl55 zipped past a f40 all in its stride !!!!!! the power of a electric supercharger you would never believe it. :lol: thought it was to good to be true, i'll save my 100 snots me thinks

has any one heard of these, and more to the point has anyone got 1 and does it work the bloke on ebay selling these claims and increase upto 20bhp, anyone got any advice on these? thoughts cheers phil

getting fuel relay tomorrow , whats the ISV??. no bother going to and from work and took it for a run tonight and no probs, got 130 on the motorway the night and no probs again, strange me thinks???

cuts out when on the move and so far has only done it when cold, yes the engine just turns but doesnt fire up, Ive changed the fuel filter, plugs and leads about 4 month ago and the ignition switch about 6 month ago

Help needed, corrado started cutting out after driving for half a mile, it just cuts out like its ran out of petrol, after 5 -10 mins of trying to start it it wil restart, so ive had it on the computer and it found that the immobiliser was stopping it from starting, so fault has been reset and the installer of the toad alarm has disconnected the immobiliser side of the alarm, After taking it for a 20 min run last night it was spot on, no cutting out and also started straight away when engine was stinking hot, which it some times struggles too, Then today after taking it to work (no probs on the way there) it cut out on the way back after about a mile, tried turning it over and it wouldnt start, waited 1min and it started, drove the rest of the way home and no probs, then took it for a drive and no probs again, it did take a few turns of the engine to get it started, but was fine, ANY HELP OUT THERE?????

it cant be all 1 piece ive had a look at the box and its joined at the back box, i know by lookin on the net earlier vr's are all 1 unit, also a local supplier does the middle box for £125 i was just hoping to find 1 cheaper
