ok my 1.8 16v corrado that i bought from someone who had it sat in there garden for 18 months has just had a pre mot, it needs o/s cv boot gaiter changed, horn not working, there is a brake fluid leak from the reservoir pipe, hand brake low effort, also brake pipes to and from o/s/r hose corroded, they told me £300 ish to fix what do you think, does anyone know where i can get the reservoir pipe and what pipe is it for the rear that is corroded please, thanks

hi i just had this problem and i took off the passenger side underneath dash and where the little cogs were where it turns round to move to screen or vents etc one of the cogs had snapped, i was able to twist it with my hand so its just set on windscreen now. hope it helps

cheers i will try the red x tomoro morning, does smell tho thats the thing thats making me think its not just condensation

yeah i will try hopefully they will be a bit leniant as i said if it doesnt pass i may have to re think the future of it in my company

thin and misty seems to be shooting a bit of water out to might just be condensation tho.

i have a 1.8 16v and it is quite smokey out the exhaust, i have put this thread on before but didnt get much luck, it has mot tomoro and not sure it will make it with th e amount of smoke does anyone have any ideas as to what it could be or if you think it will still make it? cheers

that is the other problem i cant get the power steering belt out the way, someone is doing it tomoro for me so hopefully it will sort it, how do you check the tensioners please

well i know the alternator belt need changing because it squeaks when under pressure but it does sound like cam belt maybe its not

i have had a whinning noise coming from under the bonnet sounded a bit strange and havnt really bothered with it, thought i would hear where it is coming from and it seems to be the cambelt does anyone know what it could be? just looked at papeer work and the cambelt was done atabout 140,000 miles and it now has 152 ish on the clock, any input would be appreciated, cheers
