marcocorrado wrote: As a reply to that last post, How did you know what temperature to set the gauge too? Cheers Good point! well i just waited for fan to come on and set gauge to about 90 degrees. works well enough to see if the engine is getting to hot? If you wanted it spot on sure you could use a thermometer? -

i used a variable resistor to bring the temperature back down to what it should be on the gauge works spot on now. -
right had my 20v in and running for months and love it! but i still haven't got my rev counter working! i am running Qpeng management and have identified which wire from the new ecu is the tacho signal but am not sure as to which wire i should conect this to? the car was originally a 1.8 16v. Does anyone know what colour wire is the tacho on the original engine? do i need a tacho/converter driver? and if not does anyone know which pin at the instrument cluster is the tacho? thanks for any help

Yeah all work has been caried out by myself. Used a Qpeng Diy kit and was pretty straight forward would definately recomend! Would be happy to help if i can mate what u need to know?
-
Cheers mate is running qpeng management they claim 230bhp but yet to put it on the rollers. recognise the rear lights?

Been on here for a while now and though it was about time i posted some pictures of my corrado! had it about 8 months and was pretty standard when i got it it started out as a 1.8 16v but that didnt last for long. now has 20v turbo engine form a leon cupra, lowered on fk konigsports, porsche boxster s wheel and 205/40 tyres, rear end smoothed and have fitted mx5 mirrors. Future pland include a full golf mk4 dash conversion and Awd. What u guys think any comments would be appreciated ...

thnaks a a lot mate have sourced a pair and are on the way any info u could get would be awesome!

How easy is it to fit he mk2 mazda mx5 door mirrors to a corrado? have seen a few done and they look spot on! was just wondering how much welding drilling altering of mirrors etc is required if any? Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated thanks in advance!

on my ecu there is only one wire for the temperature gauge as i am running qpeng management
-
awesome 30 ohm resitor it is then! rev counter is still baffling me though may have to try and find another set of second hand clocks. Am getting a signal out of the ecu as i have a dwell gauge which i connected to the tacho connection which gives the rpm perfectly. oh and loving the 20v by the way only done 7 miles but it flies!

Few samll teething problems with my 20v.... Using qpeng on an AUQ engine .Well it runs like a dream at last and goes very well! but my temp gauge reads very high and warning light come on even though engine is not actually that hot! can put finger in coolant when it says 110'! Also my rev counter does not work. Do i need a signal converter as i have a 89-90 16v or is my rev counter just nackered? cant really tell as have aslo changed the clocks as rev counter needle was missing on old ones
