  1. I suppose it all depends on if the discs have worn aswell!! But if it's just the pads then can you tell me what to get, thanks.
  2. In this time of credit crunches, falling house prices etc, etc, I am going to attempt to replace my worn brakes on my Corrado! I am in no way techy minded, but need to save cash! I am going to have to learn (but I will have my brother in law to help who has just built a kit car, so he probably knows more than me!!). I just need to ask you guys, what brakes do I need to buy? I have looked on the GSF website and have been bamboozled with the selection!! If any of you could list what I need that would be great. Oh and I think it may be a total rehaul as there is a horrible scrapping noise when I apply the brakes!! So this needs to be done I guess asap!!! Thanks in advance
  3. Can you tell me what they are called please
  4. I can't for the life of me think what these are called!!! I have snapped the little handle on the upright part of the drivers seat that pulls the seat forward to allow passengers in and out of the rear of my Corrado. Can anyone tell what they are called and where do I get them from. I've tried GSF but not knowing what they are called is a real problem. Thanks :)
  5. Great, thanks for the advise guys - I am taking it to the garage tomorrow and I'll let him know these problem areas. he's restoring a Corrado at the moment anyway, so he should know a few things about them! :D
  6. Hi there, I don't come on here very often, but I really need some help and advice. My 2.0L 16v Corrado is playing up, here are the problems I am ecountering: 1. When the engine is hot and i switch off say to fill up with petrol, when I come to start again it won't! I let it cool for say half an hour and then it's OK - what could this be? Starter motor? 2. I have alot of water inside the drivers side of the car! It's sodden! I know we have had a lot of rain this week, but surely that's not the case. All the areas where leaves can build up are clear, what could be making this happen. Other than standing there with a hose and seeing where water comes in, anyone got any ideas or may have experienced this before - it's starting to smell too :( Not nice! I would appreciate any advice you may have on these matters - I am at a loose end and very upset that my 'Rado is ill, AGAIN! Thanks
  7. As I'm new to this, I've heard a lot about GPC Inters. Who are they, what do they sell and is there a website that I can look at? Sounds like a lot of you get stuff from there - but i could be wrong! Cheers! :)
  8. I have the original Estoril wheel to go on it - which I need to get refurbed and I think these will look better. But what else is there to do to these cars? Any suggestions? Turbo charged? Chipped? I'm not familiar with these terms, coming from the air cooled fraturnity! I would like to keep it as stock as possible but with maybe a few hidden surprises!! 8)
  9. Here she is! viewtopic.php?f=12&t=58305 I actually saw the thread on Volkszone and not here - didn't realise it was advertised here, so some of you may have seen this before! It is very nice and tidy. I love it. :D :D
  10. That's right, I'm new to this forum (always seem to be on VZi though!). I'm normally an air cooled veedub fan and am aiming for a Karmann Ghia in a couple of years time - but I have in the meantime, taken delivery of a 16v Corrado. Wow, I think I'm hooked. I love it, it's in near perfect condition, done only 78K miles and it's superb. I'm going to get it polished up for Harewood house VW Festival and I may pop down to the Summer Scorcher event which is near me - I never thought that the water cooled VW scene was so good. Here's hoping to bump into some of you guys soon. :D
