  1. So what's the off set of the five stud hub on the Corrado?
  2. Details here: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Transporter-Wh ... 240%3A1318
  3. Good afternoon. I need to get my car into the bodyshop and whilst the bodyshop is carrying out some work I would like to get my original speedline rims refurbed. I need a very temporary solution to get the car to the bodyshop and back again. I have found some VW Transporter Wheels (265 / 65 / R16) they are five stud but will they fit on the Corrado? :confused4: Rgds Simon
  4. Come on peeps, one of you must have see this issue before... Simon

    Sunroof

Ok, so we've been experiencing very cold weather, thick frost which means only one thing, sunroof's don't open easily! A few mornings ago I had my heaters on full and thought I might get some more air into the car by opening the sunroof only to find that it went clunk when I tried opening it tilt mode. From within the car only one side opened so I quickly closed it hoping that nothing had broken only to find that I now get a horrible rattle from the headlining built onto the sunroof on the drivers side. Yesterday morning I investigated it in more detail and found that I had snapped one of the "Sunroof Panel headliner trim lifters" straight off and it was lingering around the frame when opened fully. I realised that when I did open the sunroof a few morning's before the sunroof did tilt but only one side of the internal sunroof lining did. Has anyone experience of this before? If so what did you do and how did you replace it? I'm thinking this may well be a part that is not replaceable unless I replace the entire frame but I hope not! I have seen replacements on www.ebay.co.uk for around £75.00 Rgds Simon
  6. Who's seen one of these before? Worth investing? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/vw-corrado-vr6-quick-shift_W0QQitemZ200268379425QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item200268379425&_trkparms=39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A10%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 Rgds Simon
  7. Has anyone any experience of these? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/XENON-HID-KIT-VOL ... 286.c0.m14 If not then who has upgraded to HID? I'm thinking of upgrading and would like some recomendations to HID kits... Rgds Simon
  8. I gave up on looking for the reasons as to why the fan's weren't working and took my car to my local garage who are very good. They found the problem to be an earth cable that earth's the fan's electrical system, I believe it's bolted to the the chassis underneath the washer bottle behind the battery. Anyway they soldered a new connector on to the earth wire, replaced the washer bottle and all is now working... I was testing it the other evening and found the water cooling system is very good. The needle doesn't really move from the half way mark on the water temp gauge, all appears very stable. Still need to look into the reasons why I'm not getting an oil temp reading... :D
  9. Excellant, thanks I will take a look... I've just also discovered my engine/rad fans are not comming on, the car had a new Radiator and 2 x fans units a year ago. I've checked the fuses which appear fine. Fuse 19 in the fuse box is 30amp, the 20amp and 50amp in the conrol unit by the water expansion tank are also fine... Car is a 1995 N registered vehicle. Any help would be greatfully recieved.
  10. Never displays the temperature, displays - - - all day long...
  11. Good morning! I have a small problem, well my car does ;-) My oil temperature reading on the MAF has suddenly started to display - - - as appose to the oil temperature... I've not yet investigated the problem but wondered if anyone has experienced the same, if so what was the problem/fix. Simon
  12. Good question, how did you get on? :norty:
  13. Does any one know if the bulb is replaceable? I understand there are two, one for illumination and the other to tell you it's switched on... If not then I nee to buy one £36.00 from VW :(
  14. My VR6 needs a 20,000 mile service, any recomendations for Corrado specialists to take her in the Reigate, Surrey area? Bosch specialist called Service Plus in Redhill have worked on many Corrado's, any one familiar with their service work at all? They appear to be very professional... Simon
