  1. As the subject line really. Given that you take your car to be resprayed at a reputable place, will the paint ever be as good as, or better than, what they managed in the factory?
  2. Cheers guys, Siezing calipers are quite common on the rado and mark II Golf as I remember it. I've read they can be cured fairly easily. Is the handbrake method the only procedure for unsiezing calipers? or is there another way to do it?
  3. I keep a good Eye on my corrado and I noticed a few days ago the o/s/rear alloy wheel was very hot after a long drive. Would the most likely cause of this be kanckered wheel bearings or a seized brake caliper?
  4. Hi Guys, I've been told that my rear brake compensator is seized on my corrado. I've had a good scooby on the forum and the answer seems to be spray it with loads of WD40 and hit it with a hammer :) I'm happy to spray the WD40 but I'm a bit unsure to hit it with the hammer! I know where the compensator is but can anyone explain in a bit more detail (perhaps with a pic) where i need to hit it with a hammer, where the pivot point is where they actually seize etc. If the compensator is seized what is the result on the car? (it seems to brake fine) The car is lowered and has Brembos up front, the chap I bought it from 3 years ago mentioned it was adjusted when the work was done. Is there any chance that the compensator is seized 'on purpose' for this reason. Many thanks in advance!
