  1. Coincidence! Had my windsreen replaced 5 years ago and had to have the front of the roof completely redone. Since then I am on my 2 further windscreens thanks to the grit (or rocks more like it) that the local council tend to use in the cold weather. However I am in the process of having exactly the same done again :(. Windscreen obviously needs to come out to allow full access to repair the damage. The car was dropped off at the bodyshop this morning so fingers crossed for a good repair and paint job this time. Have had people I have spoken to offer 2 opinions! 1. Historical problem with Corrados but not exactly sure why. 2. V poor windscreen fitters! Hence when they are doing the work this time I have sourced a local windscreen fitter who actually said he likes doing Corrado windscreens! As opposed to every Autoglass fitter who has said they hate them!!!!! Phoned my insurance company to request that this time I did not want Autoglass fitting the new screen and their reply was "I don't blame you" !!!!!!!!! 5 miles up the road from the last winscreen replacement all the top trim came loose! Getting the car back Monday so if any different I will let you know but hope you get it sorted and hope mine lasts!
  2. Thanks guys for the advice - unfortunately I have to get to Bristol tomorrow for 7am!!!!! Guess it'll be a slow journey and then off to the garage on Tuesday!
  3. Hi all, Here's a bit of a random one! Occassionally when I am coming off a motorway / dual carriage way with the engine revs dropping the oil warning light starst to flash and buzz until I change down and then it stops. It doesn't happen every time. I am guessing (and hoping!) it is a bit of dodgy / loose wiring somewhere as I cannot find an oil leak and the engine oil levels are fine. Occasionally I need to top the oil up but not overly much for a C that's done 192k! Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi Tom, Motor all fitted and running! Had to draught another pair of hands in though - thanks Ross! Thanks again for your speedy reponse and meeting up to give me the motor. Rob
  5. Hi Tom, Def interested - haven't been around in the light to check part number properly - I travel down to Fareham every Tuesday and Thursday so will check part number in the morning and get back to you - if poss it would be good to meet you tomorrow night as the weather is so rubbish at them mo.
  6. Hi mate, Would be much appreciated if you still have the motor to offer! How much are you looking for it? Let me know and also the logistics of getting it to me - postage etc or meeting up as I think you live in Winchester? I am near Andover. Part No as far as I can make out is 403-324. It's a 12v motor. Do you need me to attach a picture to double check it's the right one? thanks for your help!
  7. Just a quick one to see if anyone can help me out - as we approach winter I figure it's time to get it sorted! I have a single wiper kit installed which works really well HOWEVER it has been temperamental recently - I can only get the wiper working by flicking the stalk up to full wack first then it'll work as it should on full wack but very slowly on normal speed and not all at on intermittent. Motor is quite noisy when you run then with the bonnett up so I am guessing it's on it's way out????? Any advice greatly recieved whether it's a repair job or a new one (how much are they roughly?) thanks!
