  1. Hi, Im after a bit of advice. Im having trouble with my rear wheel bearings. Ive just gone through the third set in less than two years doing average mileage. Ive fitted them as the haynes manual instucts, only hand tight. And checked the play of the washer to make sure i havent over tightened them. Any suggestion on if ive fitted them wrong or what can be the cause of the bearing failure. Oh and the first set i change were for febi bilstien bearings and then the second set were SKF's. Thanks, Mike.

    Fitting air con.

Cheers, Im moving to NSW well sydney to be exact how many corrados are in oz? Ive heard there is only a hand full. Thanks, Mike.
  3. Hi all, Im looking at moving to australia and taking my corrado with me. But if im going to take it i want to fit air con to it. My car is a '93 2.0 16v with an ABF engine installed. Does anyone have any idea what i need to do to fit it and what parts i need. Thanks, Mike.
  4. Right ive got VAGCOM working now and its came up with a sensor fault front right. Ive changed the sensor and it still aults the phonic wheel or sensor ring is in ok condition and the wiring resistance seems ok and cleared the fault. But it still comes up with the fault as soon as you start moving :bad-words: . Any ideas?? Thanks, Mike
  5. Right ive tried the older version of software. Version 311 and still no joy, i cant see a latency option in the option screen. Its till comes up with the same message to many communication errors. When it tries to communicate it comes up with what i can only presume is an address for the abs ecm G71M=-1. Any ideas please? Thanks, Mike
  6. The version of vagcom that i have doesnt have a latency setting in its options. Does anyone have a link to this older version of software? Thanks, Mike.
  7. Ive had a go at the software again today but with no success. Im using a latop with xp operating system with 4091us VAGCOM software. When i click on ABS system and VAGCOM try to link with the abs the abs light flashes on and off but then comes up after a few attempts with the communication problem. Where is this latency setting in windows or on the vagcom software ive gone into the hardware manger in windows but cant find it and in the settings on vagcom there is no reference. Help please. Thanks, Mike.
  8. Ill give that a try tommorrow. Cheers, Mike.
  9. Hi, Ive had an ABS fault with my 16v raddo for the past couple of weeks ive done resistance tests on all of the sensor and they all give the same reading. I decided to get VAGCOM from ebay to sort it out. When i try to communicate with the ABS ECU it comes up with to many communication errors but it does try and communicate as the ABS light flashes on and off. Has anyone had this and have any idea how to sort it. Ive tried the setup on my other halfs bora and it works fine even though its a different plug. Thanks, Mike.
  10. I like the corrado dash to mate. But its basically buggered and getting replacement bits is expensive and an arse. So i was just looking for an easy way out. Thanks, Mike.
  11. Hi, Has anyone done a conversion of there corrado to the MK3 dash. I am looking at buying a Mk3 Golf and fitting the 16v ABF engine to my raddo. But looking at the interior its quite smart with no cracks or scuffs so i was looking at trying to fit it. But i need to know how much work is involved? Does it fit easily or is it a nightmare job. :help: Thanks, Mike.
  12. Has anyone had any dealing with this. Or have any wiring diagrams to show how the signals are fed. Its really annoying when all you can see is the needle bouncing about. Thanks,
  13. Hi all, I have a '93 2.0 16v corrado which i bought unknowingly with a 1.8 16v engine :bad-words: which i think has come from a Mk2. I have finally got it through the MOT but i still have a few problem with it. The Tacho needle is jumping about alll the way throught the rev range. Now ive done some routing about and it seems that the early tacho were driven from a negative pulse from the coil where the later ones are driven from an rpm sensor on the crank. I think that my tacho is being driven by the coil instead of a RPM sensor. Has anyone had any experience with this and how do i go about wiring it up as the wiring diagrams i have found are a bit poor when it comes to this circuit!!! Please help guys. Thanks, Mike.

Big thanks to you all :notworthy: . Ive put the raddo through its mot. I was able to setup the emmissions to 2.8% at idle and it passed. Im well chuffed :D . Still pissed its only a 1.8 but ill sort that out in time. Anyways thanks again. Mike.
