  1. Location: Swansea Price: 1500.00 GBP Date added to Classifieds: 30th Jan 2012 Description: Here is my beloved VW Corrado which I have owned for 4 years. To be honest, I am very reluctant to get rid of it but all good things must come to an end and unfortunately I'm not in a situation where I can keep it. The car is Dragon green and the paint work is extremely good for its age. There is a bit of a scuff on the bumper and on the wing but this is only minor damage and a little TLC will soon rectify this problem. The car comes with 17" Azev-A alloys as pictured but I also have the original VW wheels which I am willing to throw in with the car if wanted. I will add that the Azev's could do with a refurb after a few to many years battling the elements here in South Wales and an increased lack of time to suitably look after them. The car is also fitted with FK coilovers and a full stainless steel exhaust system with a lifetime warranty. Other specifications include: Electric sunroof, Electric windows, Electric mirrors, Cobra Cat 1 full closure alarm system, ABS, PAS, On board computer,5 speed manual, Rear wiper, Electric rear spoiler, Body coloured bumpers, Folding rear seats, Steering wheel rake & reach adjustment, Adjustable seats, Front & rear head restraints, Front fog lights. I have mounds of history with car and all MOT certificates. The car has been in my garage for the past 3 months and so tax has expired and MOT expires February 2012. Last MOT the car flew through and had no advisories. This car is rust free and the interior is mint with no rips etc. This is a really nice buy for someone looking for a nice Corrado with some time on their hands to give it the time and care it deserves. Please call for any queries.
  2. Did you ever find the problem to your idle problem?
  3. It's the underbody pump. I can only assume this as it's making a horrible buzzing/whirring noise when turning the ignition key and whilst running and then just dies as if there is no fuel in the car :(
  4. Fuel pump for a 2ltr 16v engine code 9A. Anyone help?
  5. Hey guys. Just wonderign if anyone has any idea why my 2ltr 16V wont idle properly? It's jumping all over the place and idleing as high as 2+ sometimes before dropping down. I was trying to work out if it was only when it was cold or hot but it seems to just be all the time now. I cleaned out the idle control valve the other day thinking it could be that put the problem persists. Thanks
  6. Front bumper for a late style corrado 16V. Preferably in dragon green but not a problem if not. Can anyone help please?!?!
  7. Awsum  Cheers mate. I'll await your results before I explore any further. Probably a small electronic problem somewhere but ime sure the newly aquired diagnostics machine will come in usefull hey :D
  8. When i bought my corrado a year ago it started like an absolute dream wether it be cold or hot. Can anybody give me some standard reasons as to why it now takes its time to start when cold?? Sometimes it will start then cut out again before going the second time. Once it starts it runs like a dream. Ive changed the distributor, distributor cap, rotor arm, spark plugs, leads and fuel filter in the last few months and it has really been doing it since then. Would the fact that ive been rather broke lately and cudnt afford to buy myself a descent distributor and so opted for a 50quid one have anything to do with it or are there some other things i can look at to solve the problem???!? Some ideas would be lovely....cheers :D
  9. All sorted :D It was the hall sender that was causing the problem. Changed the distributor and it seems to be fine now. Cheers for your help
  10. Yeh just found one earlier actually for 45 pound! Not bad at all!!
  11. Hey everyone. I have been having problems with the running of my Corrado 2litre 16 valve 1994 model and have come to the conclusion that it may be the hall sender in the distributor which has broken down and not working correctly hence making the car run like a dog occasionaly. Has anyone got any suggestions as to where I may be able to get a new one for a good price???.....or even better if anyone is selling one off their corrado that I could maybe have for a good price??? Cheers
  12. There are no unusual noises comming from the fuel pump. Everything sounds alrite there. I am gonna get onto checking that air plate to see if its moving freely. And like u said, even if its not its something to eliminate. Thanks for your help mate :D
  13. Cheers mate. Ime sure the forum will be of great use in the future. I did make a mistake, I meant to say distributor cap but clearly didnt. Ime gonna have a go at testing the distributor tomorrow to see if this is where the problem lies. I'll probs just get some new leads aswell just for piece of mind. If ime honest I was planning on but serious lack of money at the moment. Ill let u know how i get on. Cheers for your help
  14. Right guys a quick question for anyone who could maybe help. I own a 1994 2.0litre 16V and has been running like a jem since ive had it. Recently, its been driving fine and then it starts to choke and splutter as if theres no petrol being injected. The rev counter starts going mad and when i put my foot on the accelerator it backfires and generally sounds like a tractor struggling to stay alive..... and will eventually cut out. Sometimes i can start it again and it will run fine for a while and then do it again (sometimes takes a while). Other times it may now start at all for a good hour or so. If I bump start the car it springs back into life. Its baffled me! I have changed the simple stuff.....spark plugs, distributor, rotor arm, fuel filter thinking the problem may be simple. It did the trick for 4-5 days before today playing up again. It is a real mystery and I am gasping to get to the bottom of it. Before i go mad and end up spending loads can anyone suggest what this may be???? Would be greatly appreciated! Cheers
