hi, just bought a 1990 g60, it seams as though the owner before me neglected this car. well, the temp guage is not working, and i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions

i just bought a 1990 corrado. the engine runs well, but it has a couple issues because the last owner just drove it and didn't work on it. the first issue is that the steering has a good deal of play in it. i am not sure where to start. the car has 140000 miles. where is a good place to start, as i am not very familiar with the steering system.

how do i know if mine has been done, and if not done where do i get the new bolt. And how hard is it to do, do i need any special tools or know how.

i just bought a 1990 corrado. i am new to vw's so i need some help. the regulators for this car are kinda expensive and i was wondering if there are and aftermarket parts or good places to get the regulators. or are there any common easy fixes for the windows. neither one works and i can use any help i can get. i am very mechanically inclined so that should help.
