    Carbs!

Hi I'm thinking about putting twin webers on my 2.0 16v and was wondering if anyone knew what this does to the emissions? I had been running the car without a cat but had to have one for the MOT, i was wondering if they would run with a cat on or if the cat will need to come off again? Cheers
  2. I changed the switch for the mirrors and that is when the passenger mirror started working but still not the drivers side so i'll have a look at the contacts to see if they look damaged which might cause one side to work and one not to work. With the bulb on the heated rear window would it not be easier to change the switch? how fiddly is it to change a bulb? Cheers
  3. Hi Thanks for the help, i have now got the passenger side mirror working but not the drivers side which is confused, when you try and move the drivers side it just makes a clicking noise. Also the heated rear window does work but the switch does not light up so you cannot tell if it is on or not. Do you think this could be related? Cheers
  4. Hi Just brought a 2.0 16v and the electric mirrors don't work was wondering if anyone knew of any easy fixes for this? Cheers
  5. Cheers for the help i'll give it a go tomorrow.
  6. Hi, I only got my car on wednesday and it cut out today i think it might be the idoler valve but am not to sure. When driving the car it does seem to idol ok normally around 900 but i did notice ocastionally about 1200, also it has bounce between the two, so nothing major. When driving the car at lunch time today i was going round a mini roundabout and put the clutch down like normal, when i let off the clutch the engine had died, so stalled with the clutch down, the car then started fine and drove ok. On the way home from work it was ok but i thought i would see what it was idoling at so held the clutch down whilst doing about 30 and the engine would have cut out if i hadn't given throttle. Was wondering if anyone think it could be the valve? Cheers Mike
