hello i am new to vw and the corrado... i picked up this car after is has been sitting for 7 years. now the car is running great but for some reason i can not find reverse (it is push down and up to the left beside 1st right?) the car is a g60 if that matter's and its also a canadian car. now i can find 1st 2nd and third... but they are spaced far apart thats why i thought it might be the linkage, i have yet to take it on a highway or a road with a kph over 50 so i haven ot tested 4th or 5th but im pritty sure i can find them either... maybe 4th but i really dont think 5th . can someone please help me out on this

so you have all heard of that hemi in the barn that has sat for many years and you pick up for a steal of a price.... welll thats like my corrado, my corrado has been sitting for 7 years, before being put away it had the engine completely rebuilt (g60), when i first seen it, it started 2nd turn over on 7 year old gas (pritty good to me) problems with the car are as followed ......... complete exhaust (hole in exhaust manifold, catylic converter, muffle was bottomed out and ripped off) also driver side door handle, alternator rebuilt, ignition switch .... brakes (its been sitting for 7 years) all new fluids... battery.... so w it comes to the part on how much i paid..... i paid 800 canadian dollars .... or about 400 pounds (?) and takes on if its a deal or a money pit and if you have any parts that i need pm me

so my corrado has been sitting for 7 years... and i finally pulled it out and started fixing it up to get it back on the road and i ran into a small problem. I put a new battery into it and started it up .... it started fine with no warning lights coming on (thats on 7 year old gas...oil..fluid...) so i start driving it in first and its fine so i take it for a short ride up and down my street..... apon coming back up in first the car starts to die so im sure the alternator is not sending power to the battery and its strickly running off battery, so my question is what alternator will work in a 1990 g60 corrado. im looking for compatible (golf, jetta, passat) alternators that i can remove and put in my corrado
