  1. Hi mate, Yes i did get a new Lambda probe, but also the garage said one of the wires in the connection block to the loom had melted, probably the signal wire, so dont know if the lambda fault made the wire melt or the wire melting had knackered the lambda. Dont get any surging now but it still cuts out now and again when dipping the clutch coming to a halt. Expect i`ll never know why.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply, cheers buddy, will get on to them
  3. Hi chaps, i recently fitted new koni coilovers on my vr6 cos i had a broken spring on my spax strut. When tightening the nut on the bearing on the front strut to torque it up i noticed the spring bending so one side of the spring was very close to the thread on the strut. I torqued it to 75NM which it said to in the manual, didn`t seem overtight. Thought it might sort itself out cos they wear in over 200 miles, so ive heard but after driving two days ive noticed it has rub on the thread. Is this a badly manufactured spring or what? The other three are fine and the strut, top mount, bearing, top plate all are straight, can`t really get them wrong can u? Appreciate any help :confused4:
  4. I fitted a K n N cone air filter n my vr6 and after 1 year i had trouble, found out the oil knackered the air mass meter, so had to replace it and get a standard filter box. am still addictted to the barp of a K n N, will a BMC CDA be ok to soothe my addiction or rwill this knacker the AMM again?
  5. I had the same prob today, top right angle to top of radiator was leaking so i replaced the o ring, mine is cracked at the back near the longer screw but only on the outside so wasn`t leaking from there. the thermostat is located below the coil pack, follow the pipe from top of rad, this goes to one part of thermostat housing
  6. Where is the best place to get one? cheers mate, thanks for quick reply

    VR6 Surging

My vr6 is surging on start up, i have codes of 00525 - o2 sensor low voltage, 00513 - engine speed sensor, 00561 - mixture adjustment control and 00537 - oxygen sensor control on my diagnostics meter and have cleaned my throttle body, air mass meter, idle air control valve and all pipes. it was stalling and revving to 1500rpm but drives ok now. i have cleared the codes twice, before cleaning and after but still they are coming up. any ideas lads? cheers, frankos76
