  1. Found the problem. Trans temp sensor went and was causing the trans to go into a "limp in mode" and would command 1st gear. Put a new sensor and ribbon wiring (since it came as one assembly) by the valve body and fixed the issue. Thanks anyway guys
  2. I had tried the search but nothing regarding my issue that I could find. I heard it might be under the back seat so gonna check there! Les
  3. no one knows where the transmission control module can be found on these cars? I need help I want to get this car running right for her any help will be appreciated!
  4. Hey everyone! My girlfriend bought a 93 VR6 corrado back in November but this car has had nothing but problems. Only 150K km's and it leaks from about every seal, sunroof doesnt work and neither does the cruise control. But at the moment those are the least of our worries. The automatic transmission is acting very funky. She will be driving it and it seems fine then randomly the RPM's shoot up to almost redline and it stays stuck in I think 1st gear. Then just as quickly as it started it shifts back up and is fine. At first it would do it once or twice, then not again for a while. Not it does it all the time and spends more time stuck in a low gear then a high one... Also when it shifts from 1st to 2nd (only the first time it makes that shift and only when the car has been warmed up then let sit for 10 min to an hour) it harshly grinds and clunks and lurches the car then makes the shift and is fine. You can keep driving, stop, drive and the 1-2 shift is smooth.... I'm at my wits end with this car. I'm sure it's electrical related. I'm trying to test wiring but dont know where the transmission control module is. Please someone help me solve these problems! Thanks Les
