I had the hoses to the heater matrix the wrong way round. Electric pump power taken from original vr location on the fan control module. Fans also sorted now pushing air in the correct direction towards the engine - reversed the polarity Now for the can-bus rpm module which I can't get to play properly - no rpm output for some reason, might not have the correct cable to the cluster, red led on the module is lit so it can see the can-bus. Can you connect it direct to the cluster or via U1/6 or via the original vr rpm on G1/12?

Looks like I've not got the right power feed for the elec water pump....as far as I can work out the old elect pump power comes from the vr6 fan control module. I thought it might come from the new engine loom wiring, so I'll have to wire up another connector. At first I tried the mkv loom I have two connectors that fit the pump, one at ~4v and another 12v is probably right, 4v is probably not enough juice, 12v is about right but the power doesn't turn off when the ignition is off....the pump just keep running....:) not good if I want to start the car when I next get in it. yeah I've got the flap open it's an odd one, going to have another play today and see if I can get rid of the air. Cheers

the pipe work matches the bentley manual including the pump position (assuming the mkv r32 pump runs the same) - I must have air in the system somewhere?

I nearly there! just got a couple of niggles, I need some help for the last few bits... I dont think I have the direction correct for the hoses going in to the heater matrix, where should the return line go? Back of the engine block? I assume the return line is the left hand side? I only get hot air when I rev the engine. Is the electric cooling pump mounted the correct way round? attached pic This is probably to most stupid question asked....but I confused myself...which direction should the air flow through the rad when the fans are running? towards the engine or outside.

Fantastic information guys! I am in the process of doing the coversion myself. Any chance of some pictures of the aux belt setup? I've got the parts just trying to understand the configuration. Cheers.
