  1. Car sorted now - thanks for the advice!!
  2. Im having a total nightmare with my car - its a 1992 'K' 2.0 16v Corrado. Ive been having problems with the fuel pump making a high noise and then cutting out. That seems to have stopped but now the car will start and run fine when cold but once warm it will start to loose power as if there isnt enough petrol going in to the engine!! A garage have tested both fuel pumps and said they work but it must be something to do with the electrics or injection system. (They havent got a dyno to test). Its just had a new Cat so is it something to do with that or Lambda Sensor?? Relay? Im tempted to push this thing off a cliff if I cant sort it out - Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks
  3. Ive been told that the problem im having with my fuel lift pump not working is due to a relay because when i removed the lift pump and applied electricity to it it was working. When in the tank it doesnt make a noise so Ive been told that the relay has gone. According to the owners manual the only fuse for fuel pump is fuse no.18. When this fuse is in place the fuel pump makes a noise, no noise when out(which is obvious) therefore this fuse is ok. There's no listing of the relays in the owners handbook so I havent got a clue which one it is!! can anyone tell me which one it is or if you think something else is the problem. Thanks Basically the problem im having is - the car can be fine when I start it. It will go for a bit then the fuel pump's noise will go higher and higher until it cuts out. Obviously then the car cuts out too. Ive been told this is due to the lift pump not working so then the main pump overworks and cuts out.
  4. The lift pump in my 2.0 16v has gone. Got another one but not sure how to change them. Any advice or tips? Apart from no smoking obviously lol!!!!!!
