Hi all,
I have 1993 1.8 16v corrado which is driving me nuts. It has been had an idling problem for a little while now, cutting out when stationary.
The other week it decided it didn't wanna pick up revs in the lower rev range, felt like it was mis-firing and juddering, once it got to about 2500 revs it blasted off again!!??
The AA man came to have a look at it and found cylinder 1 full of oil and even after cleaning it out, was still doing the same thing, so had it towed to the garage.
After 2 hours diagnostics from "awesome gti" in Manchester I was told that it "possibly" requires a new metering head and then the mixtures need to be adjusted.
Firstly - I'm not a technical person and would like to know if anyone agrees/disagrees with the above diagnosis
Secondly - if yes to above - does anyone have a "metering head" for my car.
Thanks.
