Right guys im not the best when it comes to mechanics of my vr6 engine ...i so wish i had done mechanics ;-(
Anyway im getting major tapping from my engine it has lasted 9 months like it, but i feel obviously its getting worse and i knew it would, i dont drive it as tender as i should (understatement of the year) but i cant help its adictive
My question is, whats the cheapest solution? (im not made of money) can this be sorted with a head change from say a more readily available mk3 golf vr6, i know people say it make no odds having a whole 2.8 lump in but it would to me, it was running 200 bhp on its last RR so to go down to 176 bhp or so would notice right ????
If im honest i dont think the car is going to pass its looming MOT and am (dreaming) considering getting another vr taking the wheels, suspension, seats, exhaust, etc of my current vr and scraping it,
its rusting on all arches, its had repairs to the sill, its got a hole where the arch joins the sill on the rear, rust on the boot under spoiler, 3 different shades of silver paint, hanging roof lining plus more
But i love it and so does everyone who claps eyes on it (till they see it close up ;-0 ) there is something about the stance, satin silver and the wheels.
Options, Opinions, Suggestions, Solutions Please, No cocky ones tho please i know i may have answered my own question ;-)
