Hey Guys, I have a '92 VR6 in the states and recently it has been idling fairly low around 400 rpm or so but once in a while while in traffic the car will stall out when I put the clutch in or the car is thrown into neutral. I looked at the auxiliary air valve that bypasses air past the throttle to idle but it seems to be working properly. I disconnected and reconnected it and it seemed to solve the problem but recently its been happening again, any ideas what it could be? Separately when in hot weather, the car occasionally won't turn over at all and won't start back up for 15 to 20 minutes or so. Everything lights up so I'm assuming it must just be a relay or something but I can't be sure. Thanks guys! -Ryan

I know the 02A bolts straight on but i found someone selling the 6 spd tranny with the motor still attached, Is there any advantage to sticking with the 02A or are you just saying it isnt required?

Hey guys, I found a 24v vr6 that comes with everything needed for a swap from the pedals, ECU, wiring harness, alternator, tranny (you get the point). But it's being sold to be swapped into another mk4 golf. What else would I need to fit it into a corrado if it needs anything else at all? All input is appreciated. Thanks

Wondering if anyone knows if the R32 clutch assembly will work with an 02a trans (do the splines match?). Looking into a 24v swap for my corrado....

yeah you really dont see them anywhere unless youre going to a show or gathering or something like that, it was pretty hard to find a local one but vwvortex was my saving grace, found a few really nice ones in the area and visited them and ended up getting one that was less than 30 min away with a really clean interior, engine bay and the paint wasnt even a year old so it looked brand new all for about $7500 with the original bbs wheels, and he charged the A/C (which never really worked anyway so i gotta check for a leak) as a bonus.

I am actually driving it, in new york we can get our permits at 16 and after half a year can get our license, so I've been driving it for a few months now. But luckily i convinced my parents to help with the insurence, still doesnt save me from the gas prices though haha, But im sure insurance won't be too pretty if me and my dad manage to do an r36 swap :bonk:

forgot to mention, the cars i found that have it are the vw toureg, audi Q7, porsche cayenne and the passat b6

Hey everyone, i was doing a little research and found that a few german suv's have a newer vr6 motor that started around 2008, its a 3.6L and i think it'd be awesome if i could fit that in my rado. The only problem is that all i could find on the swap was a video on youtube with it placed in a corrado already. If anyone has any information or could possibly help me find some itd be greatly appreciated :notworthy: thanks

Hey everyone, I own a 1992 flash red corrado 2.8 vr6. I've only owned it for about 6 months now but i already know that i couldnt be any happier with any other car. Im not as in tune as most of you probably are with your corrados partially because ive never owned one before but also because im only 16 and its my first car in general. My dad is a huge car fanatic and sort of sparked that in me, thats why i joined here. Im gonna have a lot of questions but hopefully before too long i wont be far behind. Ill post some pictures in the gallery, hope you all like them :)
