  1. Location: Lincolnshire Price: 2200.00 GBP Date added to Classifieds: 24th Dec 2011 Description: Here for sale is my 1992 VW Corrado G60 with 70K miles (will go up as used everyday). Heres some details about the car. Comes with 6 months tax and 12 months MOT. Always wanted a Corrado G60, and took me ages to find a clean example such as this which i bought roughly 3-4 months ago from a VW technician, but unfortunately my miles for work have gone up, so want something more economical, which i'm regretting alot, but needs must . Heres some details about the car, 1992 VW Corrado G60 with 70K miles - Kent Cam - RSR Outlet kit - Rallye Stage 3 Supercharger with smaller puilley and ribbed belt - Performance panel filter - CTN diesel long ratio gearbox - Coilovers (unsure of the make, but handles very well) - Polybushed suspension - Braided brake hoses - Drilled front brake discs - Upgraded rear calipers (MK4 Golf i believe) - Scorpion stainless steel exhaust system with motorsport rubber mounts(also have a 4-2-1 s/s manifold which i will include for the right price) - 16" Porsche D90's - Uprated headlight wiring kit - Passat sunroof - TT wiper upgrade - Bonnet bra - Racing steering wheel - New heavy duty battery fitted recently (4yr guarantee) This is a very quick car, pulls really well and i personally believe the car was way before its time with loads of features etc. The heater works on all 4 settings, and the spoiler goes up at approx 45mph and comes down at approx 5-10mph as they should. Now for the bad bits, (all cars have them ), - Theres a crack on the top corner of the front bumper from the previous owner (can supply pics if wanted) - Scuffs on both rear arches and the spoiler - Light rust coming through on the boot - Various other light marks - Electric mirrors don't work (possible seized motors, i just moved them by hand so never bothered me) As you can see, the bad bits are mainly bodywork really, which for a car thats nearly 20 years old isn't bad really, when polished up this car really does look incredible and gets lots of attention everywhere it goes, young and old! I've tried to be as honest as possible. Heres a chance to own a classic car, will be sad to see it go £2200 ono Any questions then please get in contact

    Door barrel clip

My driver's door handle has decided to break tonight , found the lever has broken off the back as usual so ordered a repair kit for it, but also found another clip on the barrel that has fallen apart? Anyone know where i could get one from or has anyone got one spare? Pic is below... ... http://the-corrado.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=48981&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1314876249

  5. Funny really, i got pulled the other night for the exact same thing as i was running pressed plates with the german mark on the side (D) which the original owner had fitted. Luckily he let me off as he was too busy looking round the car commenting how you don't see many on the road any more, just told me to get some legit ones fitted :)
  6. Just been reading this thread and seems like everything is ok now by the looks of things? And that it be worth me just uprating the wiring!? http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?30900-Charging...
  7. Right made a bit more progress now. Put a spare battery on the car and it now starts ok and appears to hold charge (find out in the morning). However checked the charging system and something still isn't right. Discovered that the main battery lead to the starter motor was loose, so tightened that up, and also found the main lead to the alternator appeared to be corroded on the connector, so cut it back and put a new end on and then retested it. Charging appears to be alot better now, but as soon as things are switched on, i.e lights, heater etc, the charging drops. This makes me think that the voltage stabiliser isn't working, to up the charge rate when more load is put on? Checked the little wire going to the alternator, and with just the ignition on, I get 1.4V, then with the engine running i get 14.1V, whilst at the big lead on the alternator I get roughly 13.9V, and at the battery approx 13.8V. Is that right? I have also run a separate earth from the head to the alternator in case it wasn't earthing properly but doesn't appear to have done anything
  8. Right well jumped started it this morning as it was flat again (neighbours love me) got myself to work no probs and switched off. Left it for 10mins max and had already dropped to 10.3V. So carried out a battery test and discovered that it has a bad cell, which isprobably why it won't take charge properly. Going to get the battery changed and then recheck the charging system
  9. Oh I will mate, I'll post up my findings tomorrow, whether it be that I've cured it, or if I'm just as confused lol
  10. Yeah when i checked the charging earlier with everything on and found it was only charging at 12.9-13V then i knew there definitely was a problem, and it was still dropping then aswell. I'll check that starter wire tomorrow then aswell and i'll also stick my battery on charge and test it aswell. Appreciate the help
  11. Crap! i'll have to see if i can borrow one, never used one before lol. The new battery is about 2-3 weeks old, going to battery test it tomorrow to make sure all the cells are ok. What i can't work out is why at the alternator i was getting 14V approx which dropped a bit as the engine warmed up, but at the battery was alot lower and kept dropping? The big terminal on the back of the alternator did look a bit dirty so may clean that up to make sure its a good connection, same with the little wire aswell
  12. Mine tests to 20A, so i'm guessing that won't be enough considering most alternators are 65A rating?
  13. Actually just realised i put the wrong measurement down.....my bad, its actually 8-7mm and 6-5mm oops sorry lads
  14. How many amps should it put out roughly? my multimeter measures amps aswell so could do a check tomorrow, struggling with no light tonight :( ---------- Post added at 08:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:45 PM ---------- What should they be? Wheres the best place to get new bushes from? Its a bosch unit
