  1. well i just reset the the all timing marks including pulling the distributor and realigning that, lined the intermediate up off one set of marking. it fired up. it was a little slow to fire (been sitting for more than two years) but it fired up fine. its been so long since it ran i cant really remember what it ran like so not sure if i have to fine tune things or not. revs up nice with no popping or anything. ran it a bit and shut it down and checked all the marks and they are all lined up good.
  2. unfortunately i tried to have a local shop work on this car before i did and they couldnt get it to time. i brought it back home and found that the crank gear woodruff key had sheared. and i believe in the shops effort to get things to work they removed the distributor so i am having to reset everything now. with that in mind what marks do i use then on the intermediate pulley? thank you again for the reply
  3. trying to set the timing on a 90 g60. the markings on the intermediate pulley (if thats the correct terminology. the toothed pulley above the crank pulley) are confusing me. my intermediate pulley has two sets of markings. one is just a simple white dot. on roughly the other side of the pulley is a white line with the letters O and T stamped on either side of the line. which of these marks am i using to line up with the marking on the crank marking on the harmonic balancer. thank you
  4. well i cleaned up the valve and it actually seemed to work well. problem is i took the kids for a fun little drive and the car stalled out and now wont start. it seems to have spark so i dont know if i have a fuel delivery issue or not. my corrado experience is getting off on the wrong foot :bonk:
  5. got a new to me 90 g60 with 115k on the clock. the car is going to be something of a project but the engine runs great except it really hunts for idle (up and down between 1500 and 2000k) all the time. and it revs over 3000k upon startup for a bit. i tried cleaning out the isv and it didnt solve it. but i disconnected the wiring harness and it smoothed right out. what does that indicate? bad valve or bad wiring? any help would be greatly appreciated. also the car runs pretty cold. just wondering what the most likely culprit is.....thermostat or temp sensor somewhere?
  6. thank you for the replies. going to go look at it tomorrow and it seems to be an unadulterated car with a rebuild on the charger within the last 10k.
  7. considering buying a g60 with about 125,000 miles on the clock. aside from the supercharger are the 1.8 engines generally reliable?
