dubboy 0 Posted May 27, 2003 Anybody know away of dyeing the interior carpets?? as mine are light grey and still look dirty even though ive vaxed them etc etc. Just wondered if there was an easier option to getting some new ones, as if they were dark grey would hide the marks. As ive heard you can dye household carpet. :?:
G60 0 Posted May 27, 2003 there is a dye that will do it.. i have no clue what it is. you could also pull out the carpet and cut its pattern onto a new chunk of nice plush black or dark grey to stick in.. you don't need to pull the dash out or anything. just a thought. chuck 0 Posted May 27, 2003 Got mine done when I got it valetted. When I bought it, it had loads of oil stains inside, the guy valetting it said he couldn't get them all out, and recommended dying them. Have to say it looks superb (bit streaky, but unnoticeable with black mats), much prefer the darker colour of the floor in the grey interior. BTW it all came under the £40 cost of the valet.
