Head Gasket gone! is this a good price?...

My Head gasket has gone! I took it to a VW specialists and they said it would cost £230 for two gaskets oil and filter!

How much are they quoting for labour?

mail me mate we could do the whole job for not lot more than that! make sure whoever does the job uses the CORRECT head gasket!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds about right. I paid nearly £400 (VW Specialist). When they did this job I also had the engine skimmed and helicoiled and replaced the timing chain and cam belt. Considering my car has done 92,000 miles it now runs like new, Im very pleased with the results.
