D=&doy=5m4 in maplin and it appears to do the same job but is self regulating so shouldnt need the extra regulator, the one listed on that scirocco page in the original guage is LM3914N but the one from maplin is LM3914N-1 or is the voltage regulator just to keep a constant reference voltage ?
